Porsche in the Sky as MIRA Captures GC500 Race Energy

Frank Developments took its latest Gold Coast project—MIRA at Northcliffe Beach—to new heights yesterday morning, literally.

In a bold onsite activation, the construction crane lifted Brett Boulton’s Porsche GT3 Cup car onto a platform and raised it into the skyline, giving the racer a jaw-dropping vantage over the surf, city and GC500 track.

The striking red, Lightning McQueen–inspired car—set to compete at the 2025 GC500 this weekend—hovered above MIRA’s absolute beachfront site, drawing the attention of beachgoers and major news networks alike.

With a postcard-perfect day on the Coast (and a nod of inspiration to Adrian Portelli), the spectacle captured the energy of the GC500 and Frank Developments’ vision for elevated coastal living.

Boulton said, “We wanted to celebrate the GC500 in a way that reflects the spirit of the Gold Coast—bold, beautiful and full of momentum”.

Frank Developments director Frank Licastro said, “MIRA is about elevating beachfront living to the next level, so raising Cup Car McQueen into the skyline felt like the perfect symbol”.

Under construction on the sands of Northcliffe Beach, MIRA is a $115-million boutique development that will deliver 11 dual-storey beachfront homes and a tri-level crowning penthouse.

To date, eight of 12 vertical beach homes have been sold.

Frank Developments is proud to sponsor Cup Car McQueen for the 2025 GC500, alongside Porsche Centre Gold Coast, TAG Heuer, Bold Living, MyConstruct, Michelin and Speedcafe.

Boulton said, “What better way to showcase a car built for the track than by giving it the best view in town”.

Licastro said, “We’re thrilled by the opportunity to be part of the GC500 excitement—see you trackside”.

Supercars will again roar around the streets of Surfers Paradise this weekend (October 25-26) for the annual Gold Coast 500. Practice and qualifying are on Friday, October 24.
