Step Inside the Projects Shaping Perth’s Next Cycle

With one week to go until the Perth Developer Symposium, the conversation is shifting from forecasts to foundations.

Site tours to be held on Wednesday, March 11 will be a highlight encapsulating a number of the major projects that are progressing or completed in the booming, counter-cyclical Perth market.

The opening day of the summit features private site tours of four significant developments, followed by networking drinks at W Churchill. It is an opportunity to walk throught active precincts, interrogate delivery decisions and discuss the realities of getting projects built in the current cycle.

Since 2020, Perth’s development landscape has been shaped by population growth, tight supply and sustained infrastructure investment.

The selected projects translate those macro conditions into built outcomes—spanning purpose-built student accommodation, boutique mixed-use, healthcare-led precincts and large-scale waterfront regeneration.

Site tour highlights

UniLodge Perth Central | Sirona Urban

A 30-storey, 736-bed PBSA tower in the CBD delivered in partnership with institutional capital ahead of Edith Cowan University’s new city campus, this project materially increased student housing capacity and underscores growing confidence in Perth’s education-linked living market.

Forbes Residences | Mustera Group

The completed 13-level mixed-use development in Applecross combines ground-floor commercial space with 33 large-format apartments above. Designed by WOHA, it targets premium downsizer demand in one of the city’s most tightly held riverside suburbs.

Murdoch Square | Hesperia

An 80,000sq m mixed-use healthcare precinct anchored by a 150-room Courtyard by Marriott, this project intergrates medical, commercial and hospitality uses. The project signals the maturation of the Murdoch Health and Knowledge Precinct as a key non-CBD employment node.

Burswood Point | Golden Group

This 38ha waterfront masterplanned community is transforming the former Belmont Racecourse into a 4500-home neighbourhood just 3.5km from the CBD. With staged delivery and a projected $3.8-billion end value, it is one of Perth’s most significant long-term regeneration plays.

The Perth Developer Symposium is designed for senior property professionals seeking a clear view of current market conditions and where opportunity is emerging across Western Australia.

With a week to go, join us and enjoy these site tours as they provide a ground-level perspective on the projects driving that conversation.
