Feasibility Forces Broadbeach Tower Plans to Ditch SDA

Revised plans have been filed to upscale a proposed Broadbeach tower by seven storeys while pivoting its approved scheme from specialist disability accommodation to high-end full-floor residential apartments.
Under the reworked design, the overall height has been lifted from 47.3m to 65.3m—a 38 per cent increase.
The lodgement of the change application follows the 607sq m site at 25 Second Avenue changing hands late last year and marks a major shift in the development’s positioning.
